VASN’s NASN Director, Kae Bruch, attended the NASN Board of Directors’ Winter Board Meeting in Washington, DC. While in DC she also met with Representative Ben Cline on Capital Hill to share information on NASN’s legislative priorities and the importance of having School Nurses to help keep Virginia students healthy, safe, and ready to learn.
VASN President Gina Bellamy addressed the House Appropriations Committee and Senate Finance Committee January 2, 2020. Ms. Bellamy was advocating VASN position supporting FULL FUNDING for the Governors K-12 Education Budget and ask that funds appropriated to Student Health Services are sufficient to keep students healthy and in school.
