VASN Scholarships & Grants

At the Annual VASN Fall Conference, we honor our members for their contributions to advancing school nursing practice and award several with Virginia Association of Nurses scholarships and grants. This serves as our commitment to ongoing education and shaping a brighter future for Virginia’s school nurses.

VASN College Scholarships

VASN is dedicated to helping nurses pursue higher education more affordably in 2025. We’re excited to offer scholarships to up to 6 nurses for continuing education—whether you're advancing from LPN to RN, RN to BSN, MSN, or beyond. VASN NBCSN Grants

VASN supports Virginia School Nurses in obtaining their National School Nurse Certification (NCSN) by providing three NBCSN Exam Grants for first-time test takers and three NBCSN Recertification Grants for those reapplying. NASN Scholarships & Grants

If you become a VASN member, you’re also eligible to apply for scholarships and grants presented by the National Association of School Nurses, including:

• Research Grants

• Endowment Education Scholarships

• Advocacy Education Scholarship

• RN to BSN Education Advancement Scholarship

In addition, one New Member Scholarship is awarded in early April each year. New members joining between April 1st and March 31st will automatically be added into the random drawing that is used to select a scholarship recipient. No application process beyond the application for membership required.
